Baltex is always looking at developing new fabrics and new technologies. We are taking a further step in our focus on XD Spacer fabrics by offering a wide range of Advanced Surface Technologies (AST). 

AST is a system whereby fabric surfaces are modified for different characteristics including:

• FR performance using Aramid yarns

• Cooling technology to reduce body heat by 1°C

• Biocompatibility for medical products with compression properties

• Anti-static performance

• High-grip using silicone-based yarns

• High abrasion resistance using high performance yarns

• Far-infra red performance using mineral yarns to reflect heat
