Baltex Expands European Operations
Baltex, one of Europe’s leading technical textile manufacturers is pleased to announce the opening of their new warehouse and office facilities in Lodz, Poland. The new facility is in line with the Baltex strategy of growth within Europe and an expansion of their existing operation in Poland.
With Brexit a matter of months away, Baltex have an unrivalled position with the ability to manufacture technical textiles in both the UK and mainland Europe. This strength will give reassurance to our current customers and a choice of a multi-optional supply chains to suit their supply requirements.
Sales Director, Nick Dinsdale, stated “This is a great opportunity for Baltex and our multi-national sales team to expand our sales throughout Europe while avoiding many of the potential issues and disruptions that Brexit may initially cause. Our Polish team has done a great job with the establishment of the new facility which will is operational since December. One side of the business will therefore remain within the EU Customs Union and Single Market and will still benefit from the free circulation of goods throughout Europe and comply with EU rules of origin preferences, therefore, exiting trade deals with other countries outside Europe. Meanwhile our customers in the UK and the other export markets will benefit from being supplied from our vertical UK knitting and dyeing operation”.
Baltex are manufacturers of application focussed technical warp and weft knitted fabrics for a diverse range of industrial applications. Market sectors include Aerospace, Automotive, Military and Healthcare, we welcome opportunities for fabric development in existing and new markets.
